Dr Sarah Bugby represented the Applied Radiation and Medical Physics Group at the inaugural ENRICH COST Annual Meeting, held at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, from 14–16 July 2026.
Sarah's invited presentation, “Photon counting with columnar CsI:Tl”, outlined the development of compact gamma-imaging systems for intraoperative radioguidance. Her talk covered the selection and characterisation of detector technologies and advances in photon counting in scintillator-based systems.
ENRICH (European Network for radiation-detection based Research and Innovation addressing increasing societal CHallenges) is COST Action CA24131, a Europe-wide network supporting interdisciplinary research and innovation in radiation-detection technologies. It provides a forum for researchers to exchange expertise and establish new collaborations in radiation detection, imaging, detector materials, electronics and artificial intelligence.
