Equipment - Realizer SLM 100 for Selective Metal Melting

 

The Realizer SLM 100 works by depositing metallic powder onto a build platform. A fibre laser which can used with a power up to 50W melts the metallic powder. After that the build platform is indexed down and a new layer can be melted.

The system is mainly used to support and advance research into metallic additive manufacturing. Materials such as stainless steel, gold, Inconel, aluminium and titanium can be selectively melted.
