LURA facilities

The LURA team is based in the Chris Gill Research Academy Hub (formerly Graduate House, also known as the Angela Marmont Building). The LURA team’s office is currently located on the upper floor, and there is a large training room on the ground floor. 

The Research Academy hub provides hot-desking workspace for Doctoral Researchers and taught postgraduates on the ground floor of the building. They can also use the kitchen facilities located upstairs in the LURA office.   

There are ambitions plans for the Research Academy Hub’s future. The building will undergo a substantial make-over in 2026/27 funded by the same gift that enabled the creation of LURA. The vision  is to create a vibrant and engaging central hub for training activities at Loughborough University. Draft plans for this are currently being drawn up and developed.
