Discover Loughborough’s Bell-Making Legacy

Did you know Loughborough is world-famous for its bells? Now’s your chance to explore this incredible history right on your doorstep!

Join the International Student Experience (ISE) team and University Chaplaincy for an afternoon visit to the John Taylor Bellfoundry Museum - the beating heart of British bell-making. From St Pauls Cathedral to church towers across the globe, some of the world’s most iconic bells were cast right here in Loughborough.

Usual ticket price is £15, but we’ve been able to subsidise your ticket to just £2.40!

Spaces are limited so book early! Bookings close Wednesday 10th July.

Meet-up options:

  • On-campus students – meet us at 12noon sharp by the Rutland and Hazlerigg Fountain to walk over together.
  • Those in town can meet us directly at the Bellfoundry Museum for 1pm.

This trip is open to all Loughborough University students staying in or around town this summer. Don’t miss this unique chance to experience a hidden gem of local heritage!
