The festival is free and will involve several days of creative writing, readings and talks with award-winning and bestselling authors. 

Each year Loughborough University students on the master’s courses in 'Creative Writing and the Writing Industries' and 'Contemporary Literature and Culture' undertake a module called ‘Writing in the Community’. During this module, students collectively plan, curate, promote, and hold a literary festival funded and supported by LU Arts. 

Speakers at this year’s festival include Jasper Fforde, whose work blends a range of genres from fantasy and sci-fi to crime writing, Charly Cox, poet, artist and activist for gender equality and mental health, and Emily Hauser, author of historical fiction, classicist and speaker.
