Watch Arthur Miller’s captivating parable of power at Cope Auditorium’s next NT Live screening

Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible”, a captivating parable of power, will be broadcast at Loughborough University this week as part of LU Arts’ programme of National Theatre Live screenings.

The screening will take place on 26 January at 7pm at Cope Auditorium.

The Crucible tells the story of a group of young women in Salem, raised to be seen but not heard, suddenly finding that their words have an almighty power. As a climate of fear, vendetta, and accusation spreads through the community, no one is safe from trial.

Following her critically acclaimed production of Hamlet, Lyndsey Turner transforms Arthur Miller’s story, with a brand-new contemporary staging designed by Tony Award-winner Es Devlin (The Lehman Trilogy). Captured live in London’s West End, the cast features icons such as Erin Doherty (The Crown) and Brendan Cowell (Yerma).
