The University postgraduate Sports and Exercise Psychology student defended his 200m Individual Medley title to take gold, hitting the wall in a brilliant time of 1:51.70.
Vazaios looked in fine form throughout the race, producing a rapid middle 100m, to win by three-quarters of a second.
Later in the weekend, he hit the podium again, this time winning silver in the men’s 100m Individual Medley. The 27-year-old started strongly but was eventually edged out (51.72 seconds) by Italy’s Macro Orsi who took gold in 50.95 seconds.
