Lightning help England secure Six Nations glory 27 April 2021

Loughborough Lightning players Sarah Hunter, Cath O’Donnell, Lark Davies, Detysha Harper, Helena Rowland and Emily Scarratt helped England win the Women's Six Nations for the third year in a row following a 10-6 victory over France.

After a tightly contested affair at Twickenham Stoop, the Red Roses produced a strong second-half defensive performance to claim another title and their eighth win in a row against Les Bleues.

Emily Scarratt’s penalty sealed victory for England with attention now turning towards next year’s postponed World Cup in New Zealand.

Following the match, Emily Scarratt told the BBC:

"It doesn't need to be big flamboyant scorelines every week.

"The defence was unreal and we had to dig in. I could have made it easier with a couple of penalties in the first half, but I'm really proud of the effort. The desire to not let them over the tryline was superb."
