Alex Marlowe performing at Cabaret

Cabaret returns to campus

Back by popular demand, Cabaret will return to Cogs on 16 March as part of the Happy Mondays programme, bringing with it all the glitz, glamour and sparkle of a classic Cabaret club.

There will be 11 acts in total with something to entertain everyone from singing, trombone and circus skills to burlesque, poetry and dance. Overseeing all of this will be Master of Ceremonies, Alex Marlowe, coordinating the acts and entertaining the audience throughout with his musical numbers and cutting wit.

Joining Alex once again are Cal Lawrie with his devilish diablo circus act, Milly Harrison’s hilarious spoken word performance, Chris McLeod on trombone and Santana Rouge – a drag burlesque act with a penchant for glitz, glamour and sequins.

Two student societies are taking part this time around with performances by Stage Society and street/hip hop dancing from Urban Formation.

The event will run from 8-10.30pm. Tickets are £5 or £3 for students and booking is recommended to avoid disappointment as spaces are strictly limited.
