Iona Campbell, Jen Park and Goalkeeper Miriam Pritchard are all representing England, whilst Jane Kilpatrick has been selected to represent Ireland.
Brett Holland, Women’s Hockey Performance Head Coach at Loughborough University said:
“After watching these students work tirelessly week in, week out during the season, whilst balancing academic pressures and their international training schedules, it’s so pleasing to see them representing their countries out in Valencia.”
Another student, Lizzie Neal, is also flying the flag for Loughborough in Japan with the GB Seniors this month.
Brett added: “All the athletes are a credit to the University, the club and themselves. We wish them all the best of luck and we’re sending them all our support.”
The support services at Loughborough have worked tirelessly with the players to ensure they are supported every step of the way; with extra conditioning, pre-hab and rehab sessions preparing the players for their respective international competitions.
England U21 now have an exciting game against Russia where the winners will secure a spot in the 2021 World Cup.
