Loughborough wins the Whatuni Student Choice Award for Accommodation

Loughborough University won the Whatuni Student Choice Award for Accommodation at the 2019 ceremony, held last night in London.

This year’s results, published at Whatuni.com, also place Loughborough in the top three in a further six categories: Students’ Union (2nd), University Facilities (2nd), Clubs and Societies (2nd), University of the Year (3rd), Job Prospects (3rd) and Postgraduate (3rd).

The annual awards recognise institutions for excellence in a wide variety of academic and social areas. The main categories are voted for entirely by students, with more than 41,000 reviews and comments submitted for the 2019 awards.

Speaking about Loughborough’s award, Elaine Spary, the University’s Accommodation and Customer Services Manager, said: “It’s fantastic news that we’ve topped the Accommodation category, especially as these awards are voted for by students. The community spirit in our halls of residence is unrivalled and our students always tell us what an important part their hall life plays in their wider student experience.”

Loughborough offers 16 undergraduate halls of residence, all of which are on or very close to the University campus. Find out more on our website.
