Excellence100 campaign searches for more academic stars

Loughborough University is embarking on the next phase of its Excellence100 staff recruitment campaign.

Excellence100 was launched in January with the aim of recruiting up to 100 outstanding academics across a wide range of disciplines. So far 13 new appointments have been made.

New posts at Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Reader level across all schools at the University have just been announced, with further information available at the Excellence100 website.

Speaking about the recruitment campaign Vice-Chancellor Professor Robert Allison said: “We are fortunate at Loughborough to be home to some of the very best academic minds, and Excellence100 has enabled us to strengthen our world-leading research base even further.

“I would encourage academics who share our commitment to delivering excellence in all that we do to apply for these new roles and join the Loughborough family.”

Ally McDonald Alonso, Assistant Registrar (Strategic Academic Recruitment), added: “There has never been a better time to join Loughborough University.  We are one of the country’s leading universities, with a top ten ranking in every national league table, an international reputation for research that matters and a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework.

“Find out how you can take the next step in your career with Excellence100.”

Alongside the Excellence100 appointments, 10 lecturers from the ‘4 Star’ campaign and five Vice-Chancellor’s Research Fellows have also been recruited.
