Black History Month: Popular Attitudes to Decolonisation, Empire and ‘Race’ in 1950s Britain

Historian Marcus Collins will be discussing his research in collaboration with Caroline Ritter (Maryland - College Park) and Loughborough colleague Pete Yeandle about what a newly unearthed archive tells us about ordinary British people's attitudes to imperialism and 'race' at the cusp of decolonisation.

This talk forms part of Loughborough University's Black History Month and IRPH's Research Day.
