Lisa:

Veronica has led and challenged University leaders to work in an anti-discriminatory way since she started nine years ago. In all of her work, she operates with fairness and integrity. She is passionate about embedding the Loughborough University Race Equity Strategy, inclusive practice, and supporting marginalised groups. She is a role model and an inspiration.

Rakhee:

Veronica is an exceptional leader. EDI runs through her very core. Not only is she embedding EDI as a business function here at the University but her values reflect the very essence and core of EDI. Unconditional respect and compassion underpin all of her interactions and workplace activities. By her example, she has taught me that there is power in calmness and persistence. She shares her knowledge freely (of which she has a lot!). Veronica is of course an extremely talented professional... but this is not why I nominate her. Veronica redefines professionalism by executing her role with uninhibited courage and unending kindness, and this is very rare to find.

Denise:

Veronica is the Director of EDI. Veronica's commitment to EDI and social justice is palpable. Veronica is cared about, respected and liked by people from all backgrounds because she is genuine, authentic, intelligent and incisive and people respond to this. Veronica, in this role and at this grade and being so effective is an amazing role model for so many Black women.
