Amanda:

Tanika's mum has recently undergone surgery for glaucoma in both eyes. Tanika has been an amazing support for her mum during this difficult time. She has also committed to running a half marathon to raise awareness of glaucoma, a disease that disproportionately affects Black people, and raise money for the Glaucoma UK charity. At the time of nomination, Tanika had smashed her original fundraising target by nearly 700%!

Tanika has successfully completed the University's three-year graduate management training scheme (GMT) and has recently secured a permanent role in the Vice Chancellor's Office, supporting the implementation of the University strategy. It has been a pleasure working with Tanika over the GMT scheme and I've loved seeing her develop and thrive. She is a huge asset to the University and I'm excited to see what she does next.

Denise:

Tanika has just completed her GMT programme and has now embarked on a high-level role at the University. Tanika is highly respected all throughout the University because of how extremely able she is. I love working with and learning from Tanika and the University is a better place because of Tanika's working practices and influence.
