Profile
Kun holds a PhD in Business Administration and Management from Bocconi University. Her research examines how regulation, institutions, and digital technologies shape entrepreneurial ecosystems and policy interventions designed to support high-potential entrepreneurs (ie start-ups can scale rapidly, attract significant finance, and create outsized employment and innovation impacts) in advanced and emerging economies.
Her work has been published in leading international journals including Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, British Journal of Management, Small Business Economics, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, and World Development. Her research has been funded by the British Academy, the Leverhulme Trust, the Sino British Fellowship Trust, and the National Social Science Foundation of China.
Kun has advised national governments, international organisations, and private sector firms, including the Swedish Agency for Growth Policy Analysis, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), UN, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
