Profile
Dr James King’s research focuses on the interaction between exercise and diet in the regulation of appetite, energy balance and metabolism, with particular emphasis on obesity-related disease. He provides expert commentary on how lifestyle interventions can be used to prevent and manage chronic metabolic conditions, such as type 2 diabetes and metabolic-dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease.
James is affiliated with the NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre and contributes to research on exercise as a therapeutic strategy for improving cardiometabolic health.
