Research Integrity Champions
Our Research Integrity Champions act to promote research integrity and responsible research practices within the University.
They play a crucial part in ensuring researchers across their Schools adhere to the highest standards of research conduct as prescribed by the UK Research Integrity Office (UKRIO).
Responsibilities
- Embed a culture of research integrity within the school, as guided by the Concordat to Support Research Integrity and UKRIO’s Code of Practice for Research.
- Provide guidance and direction to colleagues on ethical, legal, and professional standards in research.
- Enhance the research environment through engagement and awareness initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative research culture.
- Organise events to raise awareness of research integrity and ethics.
- Coordinate and promote good research practices, ethics, and misconduct training.
- Serve as a link between the central research integrity office and the school, facilitating policy and information sharing.
- Develop policy and guidance relevant to research integrity.
- Offer confidential advice on issues related to research integrity or responsible research practices.
- Participate as a member of the University research misconduct panel.
