Research Integrity Champions

They play a crucial part in ensuring researchers across their Schools adhere to the highest standards of research conduct as prescribed by the UK Research Integrity Office (UKRIO).

Responsibilities 

• Embed a culture of research integrity within the school, as guided by the Concordat to Support Research Integrity and UKRIO’s Code of Practice for Research. 
• Provide guidance and direction to colleagues on ethical, legal, and professional standards in research. 
• Enhance the research environment through engagement and awareness initiatives. 
• Foster a collaborative research culture. 
• Organise events to raise awareness of research integrity and ethics. 
• Coordinate and promote good research practices, ethics, and misconduct training. 
• Serve as a link between the central research integrity office and the school, facilitating policy and information sharing. 
• Develop policy and guidance relevant to research integrity. 
• Offer confidential advice on issues related to research integrity or responsible research practices. 
• Participate as a member of the University research misconduct panel.
