The Menopause Cafe

14 October | 12pm-2pm | Rutland Building, Collaboration Space (0.02)

October is Menopause month, so MAIA is collaborating with Sarah Van Zoelen from Occupational Health to host a café, including a session to provide information and guidance on navigating menopause. It is open to all University colleagues who want to talk about menopause.

Menopause, Brain Health and Wellbeing Event

15 October | 1pm-3.30pm | Online

This talk by Dr Emma O'Donnell will provide an overview of the data from Loughborough female staff going through the menopausal transition. Prof Eef Hogervorst will provide information on brain problems, why it could be related to the menopause (or midlife in general) and how it can be treated.

Wheelchair Basketball Experience

3 November | 1pm-3pm | New Victory Hall

This MAIA members only social event is a unique opportunity giving people who haven’t played wheelchair basketball before a fun and accessible introduction to the sport. The session is designed to be engaging, sociable, and physically challenging in a fun way.

MAIA London catch up (November)

12 November | 12pm-1pm | LDN3.23 or online

An informal catch up focused on ideas/sessions/events you would like to see as part of the network over the next 12 months. Please feel free to bring along your lunch.

London Maia catch up (December)

10 December | 12pm-1pm | V&A Storehouse (meet at LUL reception)

We will start in the V&A Storehouse café for some lunch/festive food (or feel free to bring along your lunch), followed by an opportunity to explore the Storehouse. There is a collection on display that has been researched and curated by Dr Pandora Syperek and we are hoping to view a stored object!
