Veronica Moore, Director of EDI Services
The purpose of my role is to work closely with members of the senior leadership team to provide the strategic and operational leadership required to progress a ‘whole university’, anti-discriminatory approach. Our approach aspires to greater equality, diversity, inclusivity, respect, and dignity for all staff and students and stakeholders at Loughborough.
I have worked at Loughborough University since 2014 in multiple roles, including Head of Counselling and Disability; Head of Student Wellbeing and Inclusivity; and Director of Student Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
I previously worked as Head of Staff and Student Counselling and Mental Wellbeing at Leicester University (2002 – 2014) and before that, as the Deputy Principal and Principal Officer of Staff Counselling and Support at Coventry City Council (1996 – 2002). I have qualifications and practice experience in both social work with children and families (specialising in fostering and adoption) (CQSW, BA Hons. Applied Social Sciences) and in psychotherapy (MA Integrated Psych.) and for many years ran a small private psychotherapy.
I also hold professional diplomas and post graduate certificates in couple’s therapy, mediation in the workplace and the clinical supervision of helping professionals.
