Staff support and wellbeing

Loughborough University is committed to creating a vibrant, safe, and respectful campus for all our staff. We are taking forward several initiatives to challenge inequity and our campus operates a zero-tolerance policy on discriminatory behaviour of any kind.

Staff Networks

Staff Networks provide safe and supportive spaces for people from different background, communities or protected characteristics, or those with shared lived experience.

Trade Unions

Membership to a trade union will offer protection and support on topics related to equity within the workplace. They will also advocate on behalf of equitable policies within the institution.

University Policies

The Policy Gateway lists all of Loughborough's institutional policies, including policies relating to topics such as EDI, inclusive practice, dignity and respect, complaints, and bullying and harassment.

Trans and Non-Binary Support Service

Our campus aims to ensure that all transgender and non-binary staff feel supported by the university. They provide a drop-in service every Wednesday during term-time to provide guidance and assistance for those who need it.

Mental Health Support

The university has several resources available for support and guidance relating to mental health, wellbeing, and stress.

Employee Assistance Programme

The Employee Assistance Programme is available 24/7 for staff and their relatives. They provide a range of services including life support, bereavement support, medical information, legal information, and support for work or management related concerns.

Occupational Health

Occupational Health provide a range of services to support staff with their wellbeing. This includes support on mental health, disabilities, and physical health.
