PhD Research Student

Yagiz Kayali took his BSc in mechanical engineering from University of Turkish Aeronautical Association with honour degree. He has more than 4-year industrial experience in the defence and aerospace industry. After he took his BSc degree, he joined the University of Manchester, where he took an MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering Design subject. Starting from November 2020, Yagiz joined the Mechanics of Advance Materials group at Loughborough University. Currently, he is studying on fibrous networks under Dr Emrah Demirci, Dr Andy Gleadall and Prof Dr Vadim Silberschmidt's supervision for his PhD degree. His research mostly focuses on numerical modelling strategies, particularly finite element methods.
