Thanasi gained a Masters of engineering from Loughborough University in electrical and electronic engineering and graduated in summer 2020.

Pulsed power relates to the build-up of electrical energy over a relatively long period to be released very quickly, a simple example would be a mosquito having 1J of energy and if possible to release all of the mosquitos energy in 1ns you would have 1GW of power.

Chemical reactions initiated by exploding metal wires can generate large dynamic pressure waves which have a variety of applications in numerous industries such as food processing mining and recycling.
