PhD Thesis Title: Study of the Dynamics and Tribology of Constant Velocity Joints
My research is focused on understanding the tribological behaviour of contact velocity joints. The goal is to study each of the constituent elements of the joint: grease, geometry, coating, and dynamic behaviour, and to combine this into a analytical/numerical model of the joint. This work is being undertaken in collaboration with a high performance racing team, who are interested in better understanding their own joints.
