Background

Jerry Eyoh is a PhD Research student in the Advanced Virtual Reality Research Centre (AVRRC). He is working with Professor Roy Kalawsky and Professor Ron Summers. His research is on Predictive Control approach to complex engineering systems’ (oil and gas production plants) reliability and life cycle management through multi-sensor data fusion.

He obtained a Master’s degree in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering from The University of Sheffield and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from The University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria.

Title of thesis: Predictive Control Approach to Complex Engineering Systems (Oil and Gas Production Plants) Reliability and Life Cycle Management through Multi-sensor Data Fusion

This research seeks to sustain the reliability and productivity of complex oil and gas production systems using Multi-sensor data fusion and Systems Engineering approaches to analyse plant engineering informatics by exploring modern engineering tools and techniques that have their foundations in a variety of technologies, including:

  • Modelling
  • Signal Processing
  • Data Mining
  • Diagnostics
  • Prognostics (Prediction)
  • Simulation
  • Visualization
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
