Background
Alex studied Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering at Loughborough University (2015-20) with a placement year (2017-18) at Leonardo (Airborne and Space Systems) as a Firmware Engineering developing FPGAs for mission critical applications and returned for a summer placement the following year.
Alex is investigating how software and hardware fault tolerance techniques can be combined to enhance system resiliency to the effects of soft errors while minimising the imact of the techniques on device performance or design constraints.
