Support the department’s Additive Manufacturing (AM) teaching and research activities.
Provide technical support to the students and staff who choose to use AM techniques for components for their projects.
Supervise an AM research lab with a range of AM equipment; including SLS, SLM SLA, Ultrasonic Consolidation (UC) and FDM; processing a variety of nylons, resins, plastics and metals.
Support the schools’ AM teaching lab with a suite of low cost, FDM and SLA 3D printers, used by students for their training and project needs.
Prepare and conduct tours of the Schools’ AM facilities for visitors including commercial and academic visitors; for prospective students during the open day activities that take place throughout the year.
