In 2017, I completed my Undergraduate degree (BSc Psychology) in Chester and then completed a Masters in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of York. In October 2018 I moved to Loughborough to join the Mathematical Education Centre to begin my PhD studies.

I will be looking into how different sources of semantic information (ordinal vs cardinal) support the development of numerical meaning. I will be using an artificial symbol learning paradigm to investigate the process of learning number words and how numerical symbols gain their meaning.
