The ESRC open studentship competition has been advertised

PhD Studentships available through the ESRC open studentship competition

The Midlands Graduate School is an accredited Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP). One of 14 such partnerships in the UK, the Midlands Graduate School is a collaboration between the University of Warwick, Aston University, University of Birmingham, University of Leicester, Loughborough University and the University of Nottingham.

The Mathematics Education Centre at the Loughborough University is now inviting applications for competitive ESRC Doctoral Studentships in education as part of the Midlands Graduate School. Depending on the qualifications of the candidates, these awards may also include funding for a one-year masters course in social science research methods.

Candidates should refer to the MGS website www.mgsdtp.ac.uk for information on how to apply for funding. And to the MEC website for information about the research interests of potential supervisors.

Our ESRC studentships cover fees and maintenance stipend (if eligible) and extensive support for research training, as well as research activity support grants. To check your eligibility, visit the website.

The closing date for studentship applications is Thursday 18th January 2018. ‌
