DME writing workshop returns
In 2019 a writing workshop was launched by Beth Woollacott, then PhD student, to support both PhD students and academic staff with academic writing. After a few months Covid hit and the meetings were moved online.
Beth, now a Research Associate in the Centre for Early Mathematics Learning, has started up the workshops again which start with discussions about a previously chosen book chapter or article on writing tips/techniques followed by a writing session.
The workshops are great for sharing thoughts on improving academic writing and having dedicated time to write. With the help of coffee and cake, the group discusses writing techniques and Beth hopes to to build a writing community where everyone can share work and writing tips or ask for advice.
The workshops will take place every Tuesday in the Wavy Top seminar room WAV.104, between 2.30 and 5.00pm.
