Profile

Vivien joined Loughborough University in 2017 as Lecturer in Construction and Project Management, after completing her PhD at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Trained as an architect, her professional work spans across a range of built environment settings including architecture, urban planning, project management, and property development. She has worked professionally and in academia in Australia, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.

Vivien served as treasurer to the Association of Researchers in Construction Management (ARCOM) (2020-2024) and is currently vice-chair (2024 - present).

Vivien was external examiner at Anglia Ruskin University from 2018 – 2022 and is currently external examiner at Birmingham City University (2025 – present).

Vivien is a co-Investigator for the Centre for Postdoctoral Development in Infrastructure, Cities and Energy (C-DICE) programme and chair of their EDI Committee.
