Research and expertise
I am an environmental systems researcher adopting an interdisciplinary perspective to explore the nexus between circular economy, waste management, and sustainable development.
My expertise lies in combining Material Flow Analysis, Life Cycle Assessment and Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis to support triple bottom line balanced decision-making in the construction sector.
Current research activity
- 2024-2028: Doctoral research project examining sustainable material use and circular economy strategies in the construction sector, with a focus on developing an integrated framework to evaluate the environmental, economic, and social performance of recycling and waste management pathways
- 2025: Conference project focusing on quantifying the environmental trade-offs of plastic pipe treatment options in the UK construction sector using a combined Material Flow Analysis and Life Cycle Assessment framework
- 2025: Journal project focusing on the development and validation of Bayesian, ARIMA, and DTW models for predicting athletic fatigue from biomechanical and physiological indicators
- 2023: Master of Science project investigating building thermal performance and indoor comfort prediction using simulation-based modelling and optimization methods
Recently completed research projects
- 2021: Conference project exploring the application of simulation and optimization approaches to improve sustainability performance in building construction technologies
Profile
I am a PhD researcher at Loughborough University. My research explores sustainable material use and circular economy strategies in the construction sector.
I completed my MSc at the University of Nottingham in 2023 and worked at an engineering company in Suzhou, China, where I held several positions, including Assistant Design Engineer and Assistant Safety Officer. These roles provided me with practical experience in environmental technologies and sustainability practices.
