AACME Macmillan Coffee Morning 2019

Cake table x 670

The School of AACME (Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemical and Materials Engineering), held their annual coffee/tea morning on Friday 27th September 2019 in aid of the Macmillan Cancer Support.

A multitude of staff and students went along to support and be part of the world’s biggest coffee/tea morning!  They parted with their hard-earned cash for the huge range of donations of cakes, (which were faked or baked!)

The event is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest fundraising event. Thanks to everyone’s support in 2018, over £26million was raised. This year the School of AACME helped them raise even more money.

Charlotte Hammond and Emma Callaghan sold raffle tickets before and on the day and prizes included a £50 shopping voucher, chocolates, biscuits and more.

Mrs Pat Storer, who runs the event each year proffered her thanks to everyone who helped and stated:

“I would like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who attended/donated/baked/faked towards our Coffee morning this morning and to let you know we raised a fantastic £562!”
