On the weekend of the Silverstone Grand Prix, the Loughborough Motorsport Team competed in their first of three competitions within the Formula Student calendar for 2018.

Mr Scot Layton, University Teacher who supports the Team tirelessly throughout the year informed us:

"I am pleased to report that we finished 10th Overall. We also achieved 5th in Skid Pad and 5th in Acceleration, whilst our Team Leader (Monty Jeacock-Fewtrell) picked up the award for 'Top Individual Driver'.  The car experienced a few minor issues, which are now resolved and should improve our acceleration times."

A great start to the season indeed!

Monty Jeacock-Fewtrell had this to say about the Silverstone weekend:

"Formula Student UK at Silverstone was an incredible event for the Loughborough Team. To finish in the top 10 overall was an amazing result and was made possible by the Team's hard work. We're now looking forward to further success in our other European events."

We are waiting on some photos of the Team in action, but in the meantime, the photos above and left show the car as it was being scrutineered prior to competing.
