Key dates

The UCAS application process has several key dates within its calendar that are vital to meet.

Here are the dates which you need to be aware of. Pop them in your diary and set some reminders so you don't miss any.

Year 12

The first round of national UCAS fairs begin (full calendar of events and registration can be found on the UCAS website)

March / April

Many universities host Open Days

June / July

The second round of national UCAS fairs begin (full calendar of events and registration can be found on the UCAS website)

June / July
Year 13

UCAS applications open

September

Deadline for applicants to Oxford, Cambridge, Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science close

15th October

Deadline for remaining applications (those received after this date will be classified as late and universities are under no obligation to consider them)

15th January

Applications for Student Finance open

January/February

University decisions returned to student via UCAS track

24th March

Deadline for students to make their firm and insurance decisions

May

Last date to submit a late application

30th June

Clearing and Adjustment begin

August

A Level results day
