Your University Card is your evidence of being a student or staff member at the University.
It contains your name, ID Number, a photograph and indication of status e.g. undergraduate student, postgraduate student, staff, visitor etc. University cards are issued in line with University policy.
Cards for students are available on your first day at University and should last throughout your stay at Loughborough.
If you are not on the staff payroll or are not a student registered on a programme of study then you will not be issued with a card automatically but you may still be eligible. Contact the Campus Card Desk to find out.
If your card is lost (or stolen) then you should report it straight away and obtain a new card. Lost and stolen cards should be reported to the Campus Card Desk (next to the Student Accommodation Centre) during normal office hours and Security out of office hours. Replacement cards may be obtained from the Card Desk 9.00am - 6.00pm Monday through Thursday, 9.30am - 6.00pm Friday and 9.00am - 2.00pm Saturday.
Who receives a card?
- Staff: includes those issued with a contract of employment
- Students: includes Undergraduate, Postgraduate (Taught), Postgraduate (Research), Pre-sessional Students, Foundation Degree Students, Erasmus exchange students and some temporary students
- Visitors: includes Academic Visitors, Honorary Appointments and Lay Members of Committees and Council.
