We currently have over 20 LAPS practitioners working across all performance programmes at the University. The programme is led by Dr Karl Steptoe, Sport and Performance Psychology Lead at Loughborough University.

Rebecca Brooker

Rebecca works with the women’s cricket team. Her REBT-based approach focuses on helpful thinking for performance. Her interests include fear of failure and performance under pressure.

Meghan Chopra

Meghan is a REBT-based practitioner working with the Loughborough University Badminton performance programme. Her areas of interest include emotional regulation, resilience and perfectionism.

Oli works for Aston Villa Academy, Loughborough Men’s Performance Cricket and in motorsport. His goal is to deliver engaging, enjoyable & evidence-based services to athletes of all abilities.

Henry is an ACT-based practitioner currently working with the Women's Hockey Performance team. He is particularly interested in communication, confidence and pre-performance routines.

Olivia works with Lightning Wheelchair Basketball and has a passion for para sport. She believes in a collaborative, compassionate approach to practice to bring about optimal development.

Imogen currently works with Lightning Netball. She believes supporting both the person and the performer is key and aims to deliver enjoyable evidence-based sessions for all athletes.

Brandon Wright

Brandon is the Lead Psychologist at Portsmouth FC, whilst also working with Loughborough Lightning Cycling. He works with clients of various ages and levels to achieve optimal performance.

Happy works with University Men’s Hockey, Leicester City and British Canoeing. She supports athletes, parents and coaches using a variety of psychological interventions to improve performance.
