Laura completed her Secondary PGCE in Physical Education here at Loughborough University in 2007 having completed a BA in Physical Education at Leeds Beckett University. She taught secondary PE in Nottingham before spending two years teaching primary and secondary PE at an international school in Spain. On returning to the UK, Laura continued to teach in both primary and secondary school settings in Loughborough before moving into further education whilst completing a master's in Sport History and Culture at De Montfort University. Most recently Laura was the HE Teaching and Learning Lead and Course Leader for the BSc Sports Coaching Degree at Loughborough College, alongside leading the undergraduate sport pedagogy modules.

Laura has returned to the University to take up a teaching post predominantly within the Sport Science, Coaching and Physical Education undergraduate degree programme.

Laura is interested in the construction of gender within PE contexts, physical literacy, and trauma-informed pedagogies in PE.
