CLiMB researcher wins prestigious award

Dr Claire Madigan, a Centre for Lifestyle Medicine and Behaviour (CLiMB) lecturer at Loughborough University, has been awarded the prestigious Outstanding Investigator Award 2024 by the UK Society of Behavioural Medicine (UKSBM).

The award recognises an outstanding contribution by an investigator to the science of behavioural medicine.

Claire commented: "It is a real privilege to be nominated by my esteemed colleagues and I am very grateful."

Professor Amanda Daley, CLiMB Director, commented: "Claire’s research is making important advances in developing our understanding of effective ways to help the public manage their weight with NHS and public health settings.

"At the Centre for Lifestyle Medicine and Behaviour we are so proud to see her hard work recognised by the UKSBM and we know that her research will continue to go from strength to strength as she continues to support the health and wellbeing of people around the world."

The awards formed part of the UKSBM Annual Scientific Conference, held in Glasgow on 13-14 March 2024.
