Background

Yasaman Omid has received her PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from Queen Mary University of London. She was granted the Queen Mary Principal Studentship for her doctoral program. During the final year of her PhD program, in October 2022, she started her first postdoctoral role at University of Surrey, 5G innovation centre, with a focus on Satellite Communication where she conducted research on direct handheld to satellite communication challenges for eleven months. She started her second postdoctoral role after her PhD viva, in September 2023, at Loughborough University. Her field of research is now on space-air-ground integrated networks.
