Dr Sue (Sukyung) Park has an academic background in the fields of international business, international affairs, and sustainable development.

Her research focuses on businesses, (frugal) innovation, circular economy, and sustainable development from sociological and economic perspectives, in particular, the role of local grassroots enterprises in the developing world and private/public actors in the development process as change agents to bring sustainable development.

She takes an interdisciplinary approach as one of the new paradigms challenging traditional development pathways to understand more complex and collaborative efforts needed to achieve sustainable development goals.

Her research has been published in various journals such as Technovation, Business Strategy & Development, and Technological Forecasting & Social Change. She previously worked as a policy researcher, consultant, and practitioner in the area of international economic policy, trade, and international development.
