CREST contributes to the ‘Physics Powering the Green Economy’ Report

The Institute of Physics launched its report on ‘Physics Powering the Green Economy’ at a reception at its Headquarters in London on 8 February 2024.

The event was attended by HRH the Duke of Edinburgh. The report recognises that there is overwhelming evidence that global warming is caused primarily by the burning of fossil fuels. It advocates further investment in renewable energy research and development and points to the advantages of a thriving green economy providing employment opportunities in new environmentally sustainable technologies.
