Living costs

Students will need a further £4,000 - £6,000 to cover expenses such as food, books, clothes, insurance, laundry, entertainment, travel within UK etc. Travel to and from home is not included. £6,000 should cover additional costs for postgraduate living in a self-catered hall for 50 weeks in the year. £4000 should cover additional costs for undergraduate living fully-catered hall for 39 weeks in the year. Thus the average living expenses for an undergraduate, with catered accommodation included, should be roughly £1040/month.
