Intensive Pre-sessional English Language Tuition

Students who fall short of the University's English language requirements may, at the discretion of schools, be admitted onto a pre-sessional English language programme as an alternative way to satisfy the requirements.

The following combinations of IELTS scores and additional pre-sessional English language tuition at Loughborough University are accepted for entry to most postgraduate taught courses.

Following changes made by the UKVI to the list of Secure English Language Tests (SELTs) from 6 April 2015, all students who are being admitted onto English Language Pre-sessional courses A, B, C and D must have a UKVI IELTS SELT issued by an approved IELTS test centre.

A list of the test centres which offer the IELTS SELT can be found on the UKVI website
