The Christmas Challenge is an annual event run by the Department of Mathematical Sciences gives students a chance to solve a mathematical problem set by staff in the department.
A prize of £50 is awarded to the student seen to have made the best effort in working out the problems. There may also be special prizes for the most original solutions.
To download the challenge click here. Solutions should be scanned and emailed to either Professor Sasha Veselov or Dr Brian Winn, on or before 31 January, who will judge the challenge.
