The Department of Materials is a truly international community of staff and students from over 15 different countries.

Two of the most important aspects of the department for international students are the friendly atmosphere and helpful attitude of all the staff and other students, “everyone feels part of the family!”

International students are welcomed on all of our courses, undergraduate, postgraduate taught and PhD research. Approximately 30% of our students are from outside the UK, as are about 40% of our highly regarded academic team.
