Research and expertise

I completed my BSc in Civil Engineering at Umm Al-Qura University in 2016, and worked as a transport engineer in the new King Abdulaziz International Airport project. I was a teaching assistant at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) in 2017, and I was funded by UQU and the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia to finish my higher degrees, and completed my MSc in Civil Engineering in 2021.

My area of interest is public transport, especially buses, and understanding what impacts passenger satisfaction, and how to increase bus ridership using subjective and objective data.

Current Research Activity

My PhD research topic is “Combining Subjective and Objective Measures to Evaluate Passenger Satisfaction with Bus Services”, which aims to investigate the impact of utilising real-time bus travel data to improve service quality and passenger satisfaction.
