Human Tissue Act Licence Sub-Committee

Terms of Reference

  1. To consider any issues relating to the University’s use of tissue in regard to the HTA Licence provided by the Human Tissue Authority.
  2. To ensure that the University Quality Manual and associated Standard Operating Procedures are reviewed regularly and updated accordingly.
  3. To keep the Human Tissue Act and related Codes of Conduct under review and to implement such modifications to University procedures as are deemed necessary.
  4. To meet bi-annually (and at the Chair’s discretion) and report annually to the Loughborough University Ethics Committee.
  5. To report any adverse events of any nature to the Human Tissue Authority, and all relevant University organisations, and to take steps to prevent future occurrences of adverse events.
