Alumnus takes on epic ultra-triathlon for Motor Neurone Disease charity

Paul is standing on a high mountain and you can see a village of houses in the background. He is wearing walking gear and he is smiling at the camera.

Paul Robinson’s crazy love of sports lives on from his university days. He studied Chemistry at Loughborough University and graduated in 2005. Paul is now gearing up for an extraordinary challenge, the Enduroman Arch2Arc ultra-triathlon.

In the last 22 years, since Edgar Ette first launched this challenge, 55 people have completed it. It involves running 87 miles from London to Dover, 21 miles swimming across the English Channel, and cycling 180 miles to Paris.

Paul is inspired by the remarkable courage of Sam Perkins, a fellow triathlon enthusiast who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) at the age of 37. Recognising the devastating impact of MND on Sam, his loved ones and others, Paul has dedicated himself to raising funds and awareness for MND research and care.

"This is more than just a sporting event," Paul explains. "It's an adventure filled with uncertainties, but also with the promise of hope and resilience.”

Through this monumental challenge, Paul will inspire others and make a difference in the world.
