London-based textile artist Alice Burnhope (BA Textiles: Innovation and Design 2020) is making waves with her sustainable creations and community-driven projects.

Alice is based at Cockpit Studios. She champions sustainable craft techniques such as natural dyeing, embroidery, patchwork, quilting, and pattern cutting. Alice uses waste materials to address environment concerns while promoting inclusivity and wellbeing.

Her work has also been displayed nationally and internationally, including at the Hayward Gallery, London Craft Week 2022 and Alexandra Palace.

Some notable projects include her residency with the Lewisham Borough of Culture, culminating in the creation of ‘We are Lewisham,’ a community-led artwork displayed at Forest Hill Library.
